Description
Hike to the 305 acre Glacier carved lake, named after William Rush Taggart. Taggart was an assistant geologist on the Hayden Geological Survey of 1872. As you hike you enjoy beautiful views of the Teton themselves, until you reach the lake and see them towering over the lake. Taggart and his fellow geologists attempted to climb the main peak known at Grand Teton, however the first confirmed and documented ascent of the 13,770 ft peak happened in 1898.
