Durango & Silverton Railroad

The engine you see pictured is the D&SNG No. 480. The engine is a 2-8-2 Mikado type narrow gauge steam locomotive. Originally built in 1925 by the Baldwin Locomotive Works, it now resides as part of the Durano and Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad. It is 1 of 4 class K-36 locomotives in operation under the railroad. It was converted in June 2021, to burn oil instead of coal.
