Mallard Ducks are ancestors of most domestic duck breeds.

They're strong fliers, having been clocked traveling at 55 mph.

A group of ducklings like see here are called a "Brood".

Mallard pairs will stay in pairs from Oct/Nov until breeding season is done, from Mar/May.
