Description

Sol Duc Falls uniquely shaped falls, diverges into 4 different channels that flow 37 ft off the side of a cliff and into a narrow canyon. The translation of Sol Duc, a Quillayute word, means "magic waters". Legend has it two dragons, Sol Duc and Elwha, fought to a draw and were sealed in deep caverns. Weeping hot tears from their confinement, formed the Olympic and Sol Duc Hot Springs.
