Description

Located on Multnomah Creek in the Columbia River Gorge off of Interstate 84. The falls plunges 620 feet and is the tallest waterfall in Oregon.

The upper falls plunges 542 feet, while the lower plunges 69 feet. Named after the Multnomah native locale people, legend has it the falls were created after a beautiful maiden sacrificed herself by throwing herself from a top the cliff to save the tribe from a plague. The tribe was saved and a creek had formed at the top.
