Roaming Buffalo of the Fort Niobrara National Wildlife Refuge. On my way to Nebraska's tallest waterfall, I saw signs for Fort Niobrara National Wildlife Refuge. When I pulled in, I had high hopes of seeing Buffalo, but I made it all the way to lookout with no such luck. As I stood and photographed from the lookout, I turned to start walking towards my car, when across the street these Buffalo were slowly roaming across the empty field. I quickly snapped as many photos as I could, jumped in my car, and proceeded to drive along side them at a distance and get closer photos as they now were in a bigger field..minding their own business. Morale of the story...always let curiosity and spontaneity take you down the road less traveled, you never know what you might find.
